If so, this is the role for you. Kinndred are currently looking for a Big Data Developer who will be developing real-time solutions on their Big Data platform based on Hortonworks. They work in an Agile way with open communication always striving to improve themselves, to learn from other members of the team and to share knowledge.

Key accountabilities of this role are:

Excellent experience with Hadoop (Hortonworks) - Kafka, Spark, Storm, Hbase, Flume
Good coding experience using Java, Scala
Experience in working with large data sets, realtime streaming applications.
Work closely with BI & Data Science teams.
At least two BigData implementations preferably real-time.
Good experience with no-Sql database (Cassandra / Hbase)
Continuously improve the performance of the application as well as the data structures
Prefer experience in extracting and loading data to and from the Data Warehouse.

We're looking for someone with the following skills, knowledge and experience:

Good understanding of BigData eco system and data driven architecture
Experience and knowledge in storing and retrieving data in Hadoop
Experience with data transformation on Hadoop.
Must have worked with High volume of data set (both real time and batch)
Good understanding of modelling NoSQL databases like Cassandra and HBase
