MINI-LINK is Ericsson's Microwave & Packet Aggregation offering and is a large part of the Transport solution in the Ericsson Radio System also for 5G. It provides the lowest cost of ownership for a variety of applications, including for new mobile network rollouts, evolution of mobile networks, or fixed broadband over microwave.

The Ericsson Router 6000 series is a critical component of the Ericsson Radio System and is tightly integrated with Ericsson Radio and Microwave to provide high capacity mobile backhaul with unprecedented quality of experience. It delivers high performance LTE, LTE-Advanced, 5G, Fixed Mobile Convergence and Enterprise applications.

You will provide system level post-sales support primarily for MINI-LINK Customer base but also for Router 6000. This includes testing, troubleshooting, preparing SW scripts and remote technical support for these product families. You will interact with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about Ericsson Transport products and solutions.

You will work in an international environment with a lot of contacts with Ericsson’s customers and employees all over the world; you will frequently travel to perform on site support activities and meet the customers.

Responsibilities:

Perform Trouble Shooting for customer issues in house and in customers’ network
Handle customer service requests (CSR) according to Working Level Agreement
Handle 24/7 emergency support on a roster
Implement SW scripts for troubleshooting, customer data collection and network configuration
Execute Product Deployment activities and Perform test activities in customer networks.

Product Development Unit Transport is seeking for a talented Support Engineer for our team in Gothenburg (Sweden) to provide comprehensive customer support operations for Ericsson microwave products and small cells routers towards more than 600 customers in more than 160 countries. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated self-starter with excellent time management skills and ability to work by getting broad guidelines with minimal supervision.

Key Qualifications:

Curious and positive mindset
Team player with high stress tolerance
Very good troubleshooting and verification testing skills
BSc level in a technical discipline or the equivalent level of knowledge
Proficient in both oral and written English. Other language skills are a merit
Strong technical background on IP network solutions
Good knowledge on microwave transmission
Good knowledge on Java and Javascript programming and Linux scripting
Good knowledge of Ericsson MINI-LINK and/or Router 6000 product portfolio is a merit

Additional Requirements:

Good capability in negotiating technical matters with customers
Availability to travel with short notice
Availability to stay abroad for short and long periods
Availability to sometimes work outside working hours, nights and weekends
