Software Engineer in Test

Our VP of Engineering is looking for a Software Engineer in Test to join our engineering team in the Uppsala office. The small and dynamic team consists of developers, operations engineers and designers working together using Scrum while deploying continuously. They do solo-, pair- or mob-programming depending on what makes most sense for the task at hand.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and extend test automation frameworks and packages
• Assist developers in designing and implementing automated test cases
• Plan the automated validation effort of major product features
• Continually increase test code efficiency
• Mentor developers on how to write tests and testable code
• Facilitate a testing mindset during design and story breakdown
• Be a strong advocate of software quality

Requirements:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Minimum of 5 years of proven working experience in software development
• Proven working experience with test automation
• Knowledge of PHP and Javascript
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience working in an agile development process

Additional qualifications

• Working experience in a SaaS company
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based automated testing tools
• Experience coaching test engineers
