Who are we?

We are Bitrefill and we help people buy prepaid mobile credit with Bitcoins.

There are 4.5 billion prepaid phones out there - far more than there are bank accounts. And we let people convert new and fancy digital money (like Bitcoin), into prepaid phone balance.

What’s special?

We’re paving the first ever path for digital currency to play its role in consumer economy. This opens up a new space for digital currency in our daily lives and we want to lead that way with Bitrefill.

Our vision is to _empower everyone in the world to have access to the network of digital money that is currently developing. _

As of today we have more than 20000 transactions a month, in 100 different countries (from Albania to Zimbabwe we have real people benefitting from our service today).

What’s the next step?

We’ve released Bitrefill as a progressive web app and are migrating everything to our new React stack.

So we are looking for an experienced Frontend Developer to join our team.

Why should you join us?

You’ll be the main frontend developer responsible for growing our Bitcoin-based web service, enabling potentially billions of people to do some financial services online for the first time.

Every day,hundreds of people all over the world use our services to pay their bills, send gifts to family members or to cash out online earned money. This means that every change or new feature we release - is instantly measurable and results evident. We move fast, have short feedback loops, forgive errors, deploy often.

At the same time the task is challenging - users from 150 countries have different expectations, trust is an important issue, and there are plenty of UX difficulties with everything involving bitcoin.

We’ve gone a long way already, on super-low resources. You will be our first full-time dedicated frontend developer. Meanwhile we already have a working product, a solid reputation within our niche, steady revenue and around tens of thousands of customers.

But there are still many relatively low-hanging fruit to be picked, many requested features and easy wins to be had. We grew 600% in 2016, and expect to do that in 2017 as well.

You’ll have a big influence on the product, so a good sense for UX / design is a strong advantage.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• Tech wise we’re on a relatively standard Node.js / React stack, and you need to be comfortable with that.
• Bitcoin experience are not a hard requirement - we’ll teach you what you need to know, but it's definitely a plus if you have some.

All in all - we offer a challenging workplace and a great education when it comes to everything involving bitcoin and emerging markets.

We’re looking for a team player that’s eager to learn, does a lot with little, and cares strongly about their product and users.
