Control Software Architect - TROQ-SEVS01536641

Work with embedded systems and software development within the propulsion control of trains. You will be an integral part of a software development team.
Tasks will range from technical investigations, requirements definition, design, implementation, test, verification and documentation. The work will include coordination with and potentially leading colleagues in other locations and might require limited travel.

Good knowledge and solid understanding of SW architectures for embedded and real-time systems are required. Experience from SW product development and maintenance is required. Other experience from safety, quality assurance, tool validation, and other safety applications are beneficial since the job includes formal safety activities in order to enable Bombardier to prove it adheres to relevant safety standards.

YOUR ROLE
Develop and maintain software for real-time products;
Support other team members in solving technical issues;
Perform requirements collection and investigations;
Perform design, implementation, testing and verification of software, as part of safety critical control system;
Handle source code, configuration management, packaging & releases of software solutions;
Review of technical solutions, code and documentation;
Validation and assessments.
Integrate Model-Based Design, simulation, code generation and verification tools into a production software process;

-Education: PhD or Master degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent;
-Minimum 3 years in SW development and real-time systems (defining and implementing systems);
-Solid understanding of and capability to setup and maintain SW architectures;
-Solid understanding of Real time systems, Embedded systems, Data communication;
-Good ability to both read and write technical documentation;
-Problem solving skills, team player, good communication skills;
-Good knowledge in programming in C and C++;
-Knowledge about model based design is beneficial;
-Experience from safety critical applications and/or EN50126/28/29 (or other related standards such as ISO26262, IEC61508 etc) is beneficial;
-Experience from MATLAB/Simulink or similar graphical modelling, simulation and code generation tools is beneficial;
-Fluent in English and preferably in Swedish.
