Volvo Group Connected Solutions is looking for a combined Application Support Specialist and Java Developer for the Support & Service Monitoring team in Sweden. The primary responsibility of the organization is to manage application support for connected solutions delivered to Volvo group customers globally by addressing incidents and requests. The secondary responsibility is to work with maintenance development in Java as part of the Maintenance team for Platform Quality.
The Support & Service Monitoring team follows well-defined ITIL processes to ensure efficient handling of issues and quality in delivery. The application support specialist carries out 2nd line support according to the agreed service levels. This requires a good understanding of user roles, the applications and the services provided. It will involve communication with different departments and suppliers based in both Sweden and other geographical locations.
As maintenance developer you will be part of a highly skilled agile DevOps team that is tasked with maintaining a high quality service delivery for end users. Day to day tasks vary and will involve development, problem solving, testing and quality assurance.
This role reports to the Support & Service Monitoring manager who is located in Gothenburg and will work closely with the functional leader of the maintenance team.

The key responsibilities are:
•Support customers by handling incidents and requests raised
•Analyze and resolve incidents
•Identify potential solutions for defects
•Manage incident status communication with customers and stakeholders
•Contribute with suggestions to improve deliveries
•Development and testing of bug fixes that solve customer problems
•Development and testing of support tools to facilitate and improve support work
•Development and testing of smaller scale new features as required by the solution
•Participate in deployment activities
•Secure knowledge build-up within the teams by documenting and sharing information

Professional Profile
You should have a master’s degree within computer science (or equivalent experience in development and IT) and experience in the following areas:
•SQL and Oracle
•Java
•Experience from application support is an advantage
•Experience with DevOps and agile methods is an advantage
•Experience from connected solutions for vehicles is an advantage
You must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
