Software Engineer - Linux wireless driver support
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer for Linux wireless driver support, Customer Support in our R&D team. We have a wide range of modules that provides connectivity to embedded Linux platforms. Our modules allow customers to build power, size and cost-efficient applications with required connectivity functionality and performance.
This position will include customer support, integration and porting of drivers and tools for a range of connectivity modules used in our customers embedded applications. We are using the latest Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, LTE and other connectivity technology chips from world leading suppliers and our solutions are developed in close cooperation with them. Technical responsibilities for this position will encompass involvement in requirements definition together with the customer, software/hardware integration, collaboration on software design, unit test and system verification based on defined requirements.
Looking for candidates that have a passion and interest for customer support and software development in the following areas:
• Device drivers for Linux operating systems, on embedded platforms and PC’s
• Boot-loaders
• Board bring-up
• Microprocessor architecture and embedded peripherals
• IP networking and networking protocols
• Software integration on complex multi-threaded embedded platforms
Qualifications
Must have requirements are:
• A passion for helping customers build successful applications
• Excellent in written and verbal communication
• Proficiency in C/Linux and embedded device drivers, with 5 years of work experience.
• Understanding of programming concepts as mutexes, semaphores, queues, inter-process communication, and interrupt service routines.
• Experience or familiarity with connectivity standards like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
Preferred, but not required, experience/skills with any of the following:
• Experience with OpenEmbedded-derived systems
(to create and maintain custom embedded Linux distributions)
• C++, C#, Java and Python programming are all desirable
• Familiarity with assembly language for ARM is desirable
• Experience with using ARM and x86 development boards
• Ability to read schematic diagrams
Permanent employment, full time 40 hours / week, flexible hours
