Data science

We are looking for an experienced data engineer who wants to join our growing team of data scientists and developers. The team is dedicated to transform the energy business through new uses of data. We will do projects in all areas of the business: from plant operations to trading and new data-driven consumer solutions. • You will get the opportunity to work and experiment with state-of-the-art data processing tools and machine learning technologies.
• Contribute to Fortum’s Digital Strategic Roadmap.
• Gathering and making accessible data from multiple internal and external sources.
• Design, implement and set into production data pipelines and analytical applications together with a team of Data Analysts and Software Engineers.

Desired Qualifications
• MS in computer science or equivalent relevant work experience.
• At least three years experience in software development/data engineering.
• Proficiency in Java and Python
• Experience working with AWS Big data solutions
• Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources, e.g. with MediationZone or other integration platform.
• Is passionate and up-to-date on Big Data technology trends.
• Experience with NoSQL technologies, e.g. Couchbase
• Good working knowledge of English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Finnish and/or Swedish is a plus.
