Academic Work is on behalf of our client Ooyala looking for a JavaScript Developer to their Frontend team (UI). They use agile workflows such as Scrum and Kanban depending on what the team is most comfortable with. They like to work with great engineers who has a lot of skills but also like to learn new things. Ooyala work with some of the most cutting edge technologies and software delivery techniques. Every other Friday they have a proper hackathon where you get the chance to do a lot of coding outside of your usual work and try new ideas!

This is a consultant assignment. You will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at Ooyala. The assignment will be full time. There are good opportunities to be extended on the assignment, given that all parties are satisfied with the cooperation.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER
As a FrontEnd Engineer with Ooyala AdTech you will work in a cross discipline dev-ops team, where you and your team members with take ownership of a segment of our product. You will act as an authority on front-end development in your team driving the UI development there as well as being part of the cross team UI Chapter working on joint projects and help to continually evolving UI development as a whole.

For example, you will:

* Share ownership and collaborate closely with fellow engineers in autonomous, cross-functional full-stack teams.
* Work in close collaboration with UI/UX designers and backend engineers to build beautiful, snappy and usable UIs.
* Help your fellow team members to grow as engineers through code review, pairing, and mentoring.

VI SÖKER DIG SOM
We are looking for you who have a have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field and you great understanding of modern JavaScript programming. You also Have very good knowledge in English, both written and spoken, as it is the working language.

Experience in mobile development, Android and/or iOS or that you have experience of developing in the media landscape is additional for this position. It's also a plus if you have knowledge in Objective C.

As a person you are problem-solving, result-oriented and self-motivated. You can easily pick up new languages and frameworks and is happy switching between technologies and thrives in developing well tested, modular and maintainable code.
