Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and ambitious QA Lead that will be an important part of building up our in-house development teams in terms of Quality Assuring work. Your focus will be to greatly enhance the quality of the software delivering services that comes as a part of buying or owning a Volvo Cars. The work is situated in our new offices close to Gothenburg City in Gamlestaden.

Responsibilities
* Develop the QA practices and strategies for our new in-house development teams
* In collaboration with the development teams set the guidelines and requirements on the test practices in the development process
* Building a path for successful cooperation between testers of different levels
* Controlling and managing difficulties that arise in different projects during testing related activities
* Lead the QA work in our area
Skills

* 5+ years’ experience in Testing (manual and automation) of business software applications
* Leadership skills
* Experience with exploratory testing, not just working to test plans
* Experience testing web-based applications
* Understanding of full life cycle development from requirements gathering to delivery
* Ability to triage failures, identify root-cause, and define corrective actions
* Awareness of test automation and ability to spot points of value in the process
* Ability to use scripting to create automated tests
* Experience of, or interest in, working with Open Source testing tools like Selenium
* Desire to work closely with developers, business and other quality analysts in a highly collaborative environment
* Prior QA Lead experience is desirable
* A knowledge of testing within an agile development environment
* An understanding of Continuous Delivery
* Passion for technology and software quality
* Desire to work in close collaboration with Business Analysts and Project Managers to create and prioritize Test Plans
* Hands-on experience with functional and cross-functional testing
* Inspiring, motivating and moving the testing process forward
* Experience with any Open Source testing tools like Selenium / Watir / Sahi etc
* Knowledge of Scripting Languages, like JavaScript, Python, Ruby, etc
* Exposure to basic C# / Node.js / Java development environment
* Ability to write simple code to test applications
* Awareness of basic OO programming (Classes/Methods, Etc.)
* Knowledge of SQL
* An interest in business domain and key business drivers influencing quality of software applications
* Ability to lead, mentor and guide team members
