Team Product Owner for the Public Safety Unit

Public Safety is a unit within Saab, which develops complex, business-critical management systems in the field of civil security on a global market. Our systems are for example used by police, ambulances, rescue services, airports, security guards, cash-in-transport operations and within the transport segment. We work closely with our customers and are driven by a strong customer and user focus.
We work in teams using scrum and agile methods. For us it’s important with competence development and knowledge exchange, as well as providing the best opportunities for our teams to carry out good work and develop. Our main platform is Windows, and the development is done using .NET, C # and SQL Server. We also develop Web and Android applications. We work with modern development environments to create high quality solutions and we have the support from build servers, continuous integration, automated tests, etc.

Your role
You will work as team product owner for the SAFE product at Public Safety, a key role to evolve our product. Together with the product manager and the chief system architect you will prioritize, lead and evolve the SAFE product.
As a team product owner it’s your responsibility to manage the product team backlogs, prioritizing and accepting stories, and representing the customer to the agile team. You will help the team understand the items in the backlog, reduce uncertainties and break down work in sufficiently small backlog items. The team product owner is responsible for defining stories and prioritizing the team backlog, streamlining the execution of program priorities, while maintaining conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components the team is responsible for. As team product owner you have a significant role in quality and is the only one empowered to accept stories as done.

We believe you have solid experience and understanding of:

The operation of business-critical management systems.
Development in Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL server environment.
Large Client-Server software systems.
Team product owner role in an agile development environment.
Customer requirements in business-critical management systems and how to present them to a development team.
Work in a large scale agile organization (scrum and agile development).
How to handle multiple customer requirements at the same time.
Good business understanding.
Interpersonal skills.
Fluent in English and Swedish.

It’s good if you have experience from relevant tools, methods & systems e.g.: Jira, Git, teamcity, Confluence.
Experience and knowledge from development in our SAFE product is a strong merit.
We believe that you have at least a B.sc. within Data / IT / System Development and good knowledge of .NET, C# and SQL Server.
This position requires work according to defence security regulations. Therefore, it’s required that you perform a security clearance and get approved by the government authority.
