Digital Transformation Platform - Platform Architect

Join OpenRatio Solutions corporate systems group as a Platform Engineering Lead and Head Architect to help design and build infrastructure platforms to run innovative applications and solutions that serve enterprise clients.

As a lead architect you will be building the next generation of employee-facing mobile apps platforms that empower enterprise clients to efficiently engage with their stakeholders.

This role is responsible to help define the strategic direction of the OpenRatio platform, mobile application delivery, support and developing talent pool for mobile frameworks and technologies. The role will lead a team of dedicated OpenRatio employees and vendor partners. The successful candidate must be highly effective and influential in a matrix structure of functional business areas, building teams and IT sourcing strategies. The successful candidate will be a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and have a consistent track record of delivery and an obsession about the customer experience. Qualified candidates have extensive experience in a digital technology environment building product roadmaps, deep understanding of the business, customer service orientation and delivering projects that meet rapidly evolving business needs. This is a significant technical leadership challenge in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:
- Proven track record of designing and operating large SaaS platforms.
- Experience working with diverse infrastructure options such as private and public cloud, bare metal servers, Dockers, physical and software load balancers and multiple storage options.
- Experience working with different teams to design infrastructure platforms which includes provisioning, monitoring and deploy application on different architectures.
- Experience working and setting up monitoring tools/processes for LARGE scale environments.
- Collaborate with architects and software engineers on improving software delivery, application performance, and scalability to build highly resilient systems.
- Advise and assist operations for improving uptime, reduce service incidents and accelerating software deployments.
- Hands-on experience installing, configuring and building platforms to demonstrate the feasibility, and direct engineers to implement the solution.
- Solid understanding of database systems (MySQL, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.). Well versed with the use of XML, JSON and REST services.
- Ability to multi-task and manage tasks with varying priorities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Work with development teams to understand their needs and requirements and determine timelines and release schedules.
- Take ownership of platform initiates, ensuring high quality and repeatability.
- Build proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and implement projects at scale.
- Work with the infrastructure team on machine allocation, provisioning, and setup.
- Manage the relationships with shared services groups to ensure timely service and resolution to any issues as they arise.
- Triage bugs and inconsistencies in platform services.
- Design and implement monitoring strategy and capabilities for applications and services.
- Help continuously raise our standard of engineering excellence by implementing best practices for application architecture, monitoring and high availability.
- Keep up to date with latest technologies and tools and evangelize their value within the team.
