Senior Fullstack developer to Mentimeter

Stockholm Headhunting has been commissioned to find a Senior Fullstack Developer to Mentimeter, a Swedish start-up company established in 2014. They were ranked as the seventh fastest growing start-up company in Sweden this year and have grand plans for the future. Come and join them on their exiting journey in banishing boring meetings!

As Mentimeter are growing they need to expand their team with a wicked good, senior fullstack developer who can help develop and improve their existing product without loosing the visual aspect of the product. You will be a part of the team that decide on the future architecture to enable their scale and collaborate with product owners on finding the best and smartest solution. You will be able to take on initiatives and follow others requirements. For now, a lot of Mentimeters product is written in Ruby but they are looking to switch to Node.js. For the frontend it's React all the way. You will have an important role in influencing which languages, tools and technologies to use in the future. 

Who are you? 

Well, you have probably worked with full stack development enough to be described as ”senior” by others but you still know there is more to learn. As a rule of thumb, that would probably be at least three years as a fullstack in Ruby and/or Node.JS. Obviously you know your JavaScript. Though it’t not strictly necessary to have a university degree in computer science (or similar), it is viewed as favorably, and you need to be able to show critical thinking and working smart. If you have experience working with Postgres, databas modeling, React and Web Sockets that is very positive indeed. 

As a person you need to be responsible and team focused without loosing the ability to work on you own and be a self-starter. You are able to come up with ideas, to apply critical thinking to the development process, bring a creative touch to the team and you care for the quality of the code.
