Software Developer

Sandvik Construction (SC) is a business area within the Sandvik Group providing solutions for virtually any construction industry application, encompassing such diverse businesses as surface rock quarrying, tunneling, excavation, demolition, road building, recycling and civil engineering. The range of products includes rock tools, drilling rigs, breakers, bulk-materials handling and crushing and screening machinery.

The Process Technology Center (PTC) is part of SC's Crusher product group and works with different forms of support for Sandvik's sales people and sales support personnel around the world. We are specialized in crushing and screening facilities for customers in the mining, construction and civil engineering fields. We are now looking for a Software Developer to join our team in Svedala.

Key performance areas
As a developer you create new sales-support tools and update and improve existing applications: e.g., simulation and quotation applications assisting our sales activities. You and an experienced colleague develop applications that make it easier for our sales people and sales support personnel to support our customers. You work with maintenance and distribution of the applications you create, make sure that new updates are distributed, and develop routines to protect the applications.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with great interest in, and preferably a university education focused on computer science, alternatively machinery or construction. You have excellent programming skills in C++ and C#. Experience from mechanical industry, and familiarity with the security aspects of software distribution are advantageous. Knowledge in VBA, Solid Works, iOS applications or Access/SQL databases are advantageous. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both written and spoken, is a prerequisite for the position.

You are thorough, responsible and good at documenting your work. You enjoy working in a small group and an open climate, in which you share your experiences. Your job duties involve the whole application life cycle including support, training and direct contact with both internal and external users. It is therefore important that you are perceptive and understand users' problems and challenges.
