Volvo Group Telematics supports the Volvo Group whilst the WirelessCar brand is used to support external customers in the Automotive Car OEM segment such as BMW and Audi.

VGT Technology
VGT Technology drives implementation and improvement of common components and services for project deliveries and maintenance as well as research projects. The function is also responsible for component roadmaps and strategies. The responsibility includes the complete component, feature/services and product delivery.

Domain Architect - Vehicle Communication team
We have an exciting opportunity for an Application Software Architect to join the Vehicle Communication team within VGT/Technology/Connectivity. The primary responsibility is: to make sure that the team successfully implement and deliver solutions, that are stable, reliable, scalable, well documented, and of high quality. The Vehicle Communication team is responsible for developing the connection to the in-vehicle telematics unit, and specializes in communication channels and communication protocols. As Domain Architect, you will also be mentor and subject matter expert in our team.

Key Responsibilities
As Domain Architect you will be the technical leader for the team. Your tasks will include: coordinate and collaborate with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure plans and identified solutions meet customer needs and expectations. Builds, confirms, and prioritizes project plans and deliverables with the Product Owner. You will create technical and design documentation in support of new development, upgrades and enhancements. You should understand and master standard web practices to aid their team towards utilizing new technologies, engaging in appropriate project management & system development methodologies, as well as testing best-practices.

Desired Skills & Experience
You have a Bachelor or Master degree in computer science or equivalent training and experience:
You have proven experience building Java-based solutions for highly available and scalable systems
Experience in the design, development and implementation of front end and back end applications
You have experience of Java performance testing and tuning and an understanding of infrastructure
You are experienced in Test Automation and Continuous Delivery
You are experienced in Agile development methods
You are experienced technical leader
