Sr Software Tester

Testing of both desktop and web based applications. You will need to identify bugs and solve problems using analysis, experience, and judgment.

Actively participate in collaborative meetings with development team and other stakeholders to gain an understanding of the application requirements and conformance criteria in order to produce a test strategy and test cases.
Review user stories, requirements and design documents.
Perform reviews and report and track defects on the developers' products.
Analyze and test products to ensure that the functions of the system under testing meet established functional and non-functional requirements.
Perform software test planning and execution activities as needed, including: Integration Test, Functional Test, Component Test, Regression Test, System Test, and Security Test. Track and report testing results.
Design and execute automated test cases to support functional testing at the UI layer and regression testing.
Collaborate with team members throughout the Sprint duration.
Demonstrate Creativity with testing ideas, and show flexibility to align with team objectives at all times.

You are a tester with a several years of experience, but more importantly you have a passion for quality. Smartbear products are very technical, so you will also need to be fairly technical and eager to learn more about technologies, both old ones like SOAP and http and newer technologies such as CoAP, web sockets and microservices.

You have experience with test automation, testing applications, and even testing APIs and web services. You have maybe even used our products in your work as a tester. You understand how HTTP works and probably have a working knowledge of topics like authentication, Java and cryptography. You don’t mind using the command line or a text editor to figure out just why something went wrong.

Some programming skills are merited, as is experience of JIRA, agile methodology and BDD.
