2D Artist

Avalanche Studios and its subsidiary Expansive Worlds are looking for a passionate 2D Artist to create fun and engaging assets for our self-published titles - including theHunter Classic, theHunter: Call of the Wild, as well as future titles.

The Position
As a 2D Artist at Avalanche Studios you are a wizard who excel at crafting attractive, high quality marketing/advertising content for a variety of online channels. You will join our marketing team and we count on you to bring in know-how, passion and commitment to showcasing the variety and fun of our games to new, and current, fans around the globe.

You have the ability to think proactively and tactically and you are used to delivering results within a fast-paced environment against hard deadlines, so you need to be able to prioritize and communicate well. Your passion for videogames, and the gaming industry in general, is of vital importance and we expect you to be engaged, and on fire, about new games and trends.

At Avalanche Studios our day-to-day is ever changing so to fit our needs you need to be a well-organized and flexible person with lots of creative ideas. Since we’re a lean team each role comes with a lot of responsibility and a lot of freedom, so we expect you to be autonomous and a quick learner.

Responsibilities
Support the Marketing Artist with all tasks needed - across all games titles, both pre- and post launch
Create visual assets in Photoshop - ads, banners, screenshots - for social media, websites, emails, online marketing activities and more
Partner with cross functional teams and internal stakeholders, including the development teams, to drive marketing efforts
Assists Marketing Artist in approving external marketing assets, ensuring that brand guidelines are followed
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience from content creation (ads, banners, screenshots etc)
Great Photoshop skills
Ability to come up with fresh/creative ideas for assets
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong organizational skills and time management skills
Collaborative, proactive and self-motivated
Team player
Passionate about video games
Desired Qualifications
Good understanding of the gaming world and how to create visual assets that gamers enjoy watching (both still and moving)
Up to date on the latest gaming trends and social media channels (Facebook, YouTube, Twitch etc)
Experience making gifs and short videos to create engaging content
Skills in additional software such as Adobe InDesign, Production Premium and/or After Effects is considered a plus
