Junior Risk Analyst

iZettle has evolved from a small Stockholm-based Startup in 2010 to a leading hyper-growth fin-tech company that now has offices in Berlin, London, Madrid, Sao Paulo and Mexico City. We now offer a wide range of financial services to an increasing pool of European, Brazilian and Mexican business owners. The Risk Department is iZettle’s gatekeeper and as such is charged with protecting both the company as well as our merchant population. It is down to our analysts, engineers, agents and data scientists to ensure that iZettle maintains a safe and secure financial ecosystem. The person we are looking for needs the ambition, ability and want to take part in developing an industry-leading product. We demand energy, wit, resilience, drive and resourcefulness.

A successful candidate will find themselves developing products, models, reports, enhancing protocols and old-fashioned investigative work. Responsibilities will also include project management and you will be expected to work on and lead projects independently. You will be given a high grade of freedom and space to adapt, improve and evolve.

Responsibilities:

- Analysis of customer behaviour in terms of compliance, fraud, money laundering, credit risk, and other defined risks to iZettle and our merchant population.
- Project development and management including research, collaboration, analysis defence of work and product release.
- Quantitative risk and fraud analysis and data-driven assessment.
- In-depth qualitative operational analysis.
- Development of KPIs, risk and fraud reports.
- Identify and/or invent ways to work more intelligently.

Requirements:

- Ability to assume a large amount of responsibility (from an early stage) and lead individual projects.
- To exhibit a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Being comfortable with working and handling numbers.
- Strong interest in new techniques, technology and methods.
- To be a good communicator, both orally and written.
- Undergraduate degree: Statistics, Engineering, Psychology, Economics and/or Finance.
- At least 1 year work experience in a relevant industry.
- Language skills: fluency in English

- Experience from a payment/financial business/institution.
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- International experience
- Experience with SQL, VBA, Matlab, Java or similar
- Good knowledge of one or more of the following:Swedish, French, German, Dutch and Spanish
- You need a sense of humour
