Test Specialist, IKEA IT

In the role as Senior Test Specialist it is an advantage if you are knowledgeable in a variety of languages, test automation frameworks, tools and techniques such as, C#, Java, Selenium, SQL, SoapUI, UFT, nUnit. We would like to see that you have had some previous experience to produce documentation for automated frameworks and cross-train other engineers. You have the ability to work with minimal supervision and manage priorities by staying organized. Preferable you have a deep understanding of continuous integration. You will have the opportunity to influence others and collaborate with cross-functional teams and work in a team-oriented environment. A key to succeed in the role as Senior Test Specialist at IKEA is to be able to write automated test scripts to verify desktop and web application features

Some other preferred qualifications as a Senior Test Specialist:

• Knowledge to set up Jenkins jobs and environments
• Capability to build and maintain code repositories with Git or SVN
• Strong ability to create, design and implement test automation infrastructure

IKEA is seeking a Senior Test Specialist to act as technical lead in the test automation team at TestCenter. In the role, you are going to guide, assist and inspire your colleagues and help them achieve new heights in their journey as automation engineers. This should be done in parallel to your own implementation work where you will have the opportunity of evaluating new tools, designing and developing proof of concepts for future use in the area of test automation and continuous integration at IKEA. Communicating with projects, suggesting technical solutions and possible way forward with test automation will also be natural part of your daily work.
