Java developer to PriceRunner

Stockholm Headhunting has been commissioned to find a Java developer to PriceRunner. As part of PriceRunners tech team you will be a key player in taking PriceRunners tech platform to the next level. They have great ambitions to develop their product further and create the best possible value for their users. With millions of visitors each month, PriceRunner helps thousands of e-retailers to be seen online, launching more features for the conscious consumer and looking brighter at the future than ever before. 

About the role

As Java developer you will be part of one of PriceRunners cross-functional tech teams. You will be situated at their head office on Sveavägen in central Stockholm together with highly talented colleagues and close to management, and therefore have a great opportunity to influence PriceRunners future. In Stockholm they are 80 people in total with 20 people in their development department. PriceRunner is driven by high ambitions to expand and with a strong will to continue to grow they can offer a stimulating career with great development opportunities.

In the role of Java developer you will be responsible for their Java environment and future development, as well as participate in business development projects and communicate with international colleagues. PriceRunner is in the process of developing a brand new backend to replace their previous system, which means that new- and further development will be a major part of your everyday life. The work requires an innovative process where new solutions are tested and improved each day, and your contribution and ideas will be of great importance for PriceRunner to achieve their goals. 

PriceRunner is looking for

A backend developer with experience of modern Java and one or a few other languages. You have acquired this experience through higher education or a few years of work experience. You share PriceRunner’s interest in modern technologies and stay up to date with the latest within tech. Professional experience in one or several of the technologies that will be part of your daily experience at PriceRunner such as Java8, Spring, GigaSpaces, ElasticSearch, Kafka or Microservices is considered meritorious. 

As a person you are a passionate backend developer that is a good problem solver, driven and have a can-do mentality. You are ambitious, valuing quality and clean code. PriceRunner prefer to work in teams and solve problems collectively, therefore we believe that you have an analytical and communicative ability. Furthermore, you agree with PriceRunner, and think that price comparison is the best thing that has happened since sliced bread, but that the possibilities to develop further are endless.
