Are you a driven software developer with good organisational and communication skills? Are you curious to go beyond the computer screen to understand the mix between the virtual and the physical, and integrate it in your day-to-day tasks? Do you want to work with advanced technology development that contributes to environmental improvements and greater customer satisfaction? Then join our team to make an impact!

The Engine Control Diagnostics group is responsible for requirements setting and central functionality for diagnostics and fault management within the control systems for engines and aftertreatment. This involves ensuring that the systems comply with the legal requirements for diagnostics, that we follow the safety standards in force for the systems, and that our systems are simple to troubleshoot in our service organisation. The field of diagnostics, which includes fault management, consists of several functions and systems and we participate in all engine projects, regardless of whether they relate to diesel, renewable fuels or hybridisation.

Your duties
New markets and new customers lead to increased and varied demands on our fault management capabilities and you will be a central player in the team that develops functions and software for this.  Your duties will include;

- Developing functions (setting requirements, documenting and testing) at whole vehicle level for managing engine and aftertreament faults primarily for our service organisation.
- Developing software for fault management and a central diagnostics framework in the engine and aftertreament management system.
- Participating in the cross-functional expert group for fault management together with engineers responsible for the engine management systems, testing and service methods.
- Being a key contact between the service and development organisations, coordinating and prioritising development and test activities undertaken by colleagues within the engine control systems section.
- Improving tools and processes within the above areas.

You will work closely with colleagues within the group and section, which will also allow you to broaden/deepen your skills within our various career paths. The group is characterised by cohesion, diversity and enormous enthusiasm for development both professionally and as individuals.

Your profile
- A degree in engineering or equivalent documented education/experience in mechatronics, computer science, electrical engineering or vehicle engineering.
- In your work you are organised, quality conscious and responsible. As a colleague you are positive with good communication skills.As a leader you have the ability to engage with people in plans and change management.
- We prioritise inquisitiveness and interest in the border between the virtual and physical over specific knowledge of engine and aftertreament technology, diagnostics or serial data communication.  However, having both is a merit!
- Knowledge in C and Python are a merit but we expect that you have worked with other programming languages.
- You can expressing yourself both verbally and in writing in English.The ability to speak Swedish or the willingness to learn are advantageous.
