As we strive towards shaping the way industrial companies take on digital transformation, we’re looking for a Senior Embedded Engineer to join us at Sandvik CODE in Stockholm.

Job Description

Together with a dynamic team of entrepreneurs, designers and engineers, you bring an entirely new approach to hardware and connectivity infrastructure to the world of machining. In collaboration with some of the largest technology companies, you design and implement services in constrained application environments that enable dynamic, real-time control machines, robots and other manufacturing equipment.

Your responsibilities

• Design and develop software running on constrained RTOS application environments with limited memory and storage capacity
• Implement mechanisms to enable over-the-air software updates of deployed solutions running at customer sites
• Optimize deployed service performance for maximum speed, scalability and reliability
• Mentor, support and pair programs with junior engineers to help spread coding best practices throughout Sandvik CODE

Your skills and qualifications

You have a BSc or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent field, and as our team at Sandvik CODE are truly international, we expect you to have excellent communication skills in English. Other prerequisite qualifications for this role are:

• A deep understanding of data structures, algorithms and low-level memory optimization
• Extensive experience of compiled languages, such as C or C++
• Experience from coding real-time embedded systems, both bare metal and RTOS
• Knowledge of container technologies, such as LXC or Docker
