As we strive towards shaping the way industrial companies take on digital transformation, we’re looking for a UI Designer to join us at Sandvik CODE in Stockholm.

Job Description

In this position, you are a part of our design team, with the responsibility to focus on prototyping and building visually compelling user interfaces for the various digital services we offer.

Your responsibilities

  • Design UI mockups, wireframes, low- and high-fidelity prototypes for mobile, tablet and desktop environments
  • Create pixel perfect visual design for digital applications
  • Design and manage visual guidelines
  • Complete design iteratively that meet business goals and requirements, while maintaining and refining design patterns as well as UI standards

Your skills and qualifications

You have a background in graphic design, multimedia, industrial design or human-computer interaction, with at least one or two years’ experience of working in a digital design-related role such as UI Design, Information Architecture, Graphic or Visual Design. As our team at Sandvik CODE is truly international, we expect you to have excellent communication skills in English. Other prerequisite qualifications for this role are:

  • Fluency in design thinking and Human-Centered Design principles, with a portfolio to showcase previous work
  • Experience in defining, iterating and designing prototypes in highly collaborative environments with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience of delivering pixel perfect UI for web, tablet and mobile applications
  • An attitude of continuous learning and genuine enthusiasm for creating success together with others
  • Proven expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud, Axure, Sketch and Invision
  • Good understanding of Typohgraphy, Composition and Grid systems
  • Outstanding knowledge of Information Design
