QA Engineering Manager

25 million customers are using Klarna?s services and more and more people are discovering how easy it is to buying things with Klarna. We are facing an exponential growth and now we are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead Quality Engineering. The role will require working cross-functionally in collaboration with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Operations and Infrastructure groups to deliver innovative solutions with high quality, at incredible speed. You will be based at Klarna HQ in Stockholm, reporting to VP Engineering.

Responsibilities:

Build, staff and manage a progressive quality engineering capability federated across agile teams

Define the strategy and roadmap for QE, and drive adoption across the organization

Motivate teams through outstanding leadership, shared vision, people skills and deep technical knowledge

Provide technical expertise and leadership in progressive technical Testing

Communicate and deliver challenging cross-functional engineering initiatives

Influence product and engineering design and decisions

Influence and work cross-functionally to improve products, teams and delivery

Develop objectives for individuals and teams, aligning with the roadmap and overall engineering vision

Assess and manage team performance through regular team meetings, one on ones and regular reviews

You are coding on a daily basis and have experience of large-scale, hyper-growth distributed computing environments. You have the ability to support or lead multiple simultaneous initiatives. Demonstrated ability for recruiting, developing individuals and performance management is a plus.

The role will require working cross-functionally to support Product, Engineering, Architecture, Operations and Infrastructure groups to deliver innovative solutions with high quality, at incredible speed.

You have?

-At least 7 years experience working as a hands-on technical manager with expert knowledge in test engineering, automation, agile and continuous delivery practices
-Solid coding background in Java, Erlang, Ruby, Python, C++ or similar
-MSc Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
-Highly analytical and data driven
