IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

The work environment at Scania’s IT department is international and our employees are representing many different nationalities and countries. To this exciting and dynamic environment we are now looking for new IT-professionals.

Your responsibility
In the move towards solutions, Scania provides more and more services through mobile devices to its internal and external customers implying that IT has to enable mobile applications throughout their full lifecycle from development to decommissioning. For this, we are commencing a Mobility Center that should provide central enabling services towards local mobile solution development, such as Guidelines, Architectures, a reusable UI and mobile compatible API:s.

For this function, that is still starting-up and growing we need you, a driven Mobility Architect demonstrating a collaborative working style, great communication skills and the ability to thrive in an environment of innovation. Our expectation is that you would quickly grow into a natural competence provider managing the Mobility Architecture of IT orchestrating and delivering best practices across relevant projects and organizations.

Enable mobility solution development initiatives throughout the full lifecycle.
Continuously improve architecture and processes for ensuring secure and reliable mobile enabled service offerings.
Provide architectural design to mobile application development projects.
Cross team collaboration and coordination with other architects as well as represent Scania in Volkswagen Group initiatives.
Support your colleagues in securing their deliveries within mobility.
Work close to the customer understanding their needs and how it fits in our IT landscape.
Represent mobility in architecture forums. 

 
Your profile

5+ years in mobile application development and architecture
Expertise in iOS, Android, HTML5, CSS3 and other mobile frameworks/accelerators
Strong cross-domain and cross-functional knowledge that will enable design of the best possible technology solutions.
Confident with technology and technical architectures, as well as practical adaptation and functional deployment of enterprise technology solutions.
Comfortable working with integration and API:s for solutions comprising of cloud and an on-premise services.
Ability to work collaboratively with other stakeholders. 

 
The location
Scania headquarter is located less than 40 km south of Stockholm city. It is easily accessible by regional train, commuter train, bus or car. Scania's own bus line, Scania Job Express, goes from Stockholm city directly to Scania in Södertälje.
