Who are we?:
SmartBear is a passionate development company located in central Stockholm (international headquarters in Boston U.S.) that focuses entirely on developing and supporting two of the best test products in the world; SoapUI and LoadUI. SoapUI is the de facto standard for testing APIs on the Web (SOAP, REST, etc.) and LoadUI has shaken up the testing community with its innovative approach to exploratory load testing in real time. Both tools combined have a large user base that continually works with us to improve our products in innovative ways.

How do we do it?:
Our teams work closely with product owners do develop products in a rapid and dynamic environment. We build our processes together as a team to service the rapid turnaround of information to our stakeholders. We develop the desired features with a loose-enough process to maximize flexibility and allow for changes, but with enough structure to truthfully communicate what we are going to do and when we are going to do it.

Who are you?:
You love to code and love to collaborate with others. You are quality conscious and want to search for good solutions to challenging development problems. You write unit tests and participate in code reviews, and, most of all, you feel a commitment to the people who use our products. You have an open mind when it comes to technologies and platforms, and you openly share your wisdom with others. And, of course, you want to have fun!

What can you do?:
You are comfortable using modern Java tools; Eclipse / IntelliJ, Maven, JUnit, Hudson / Jenkins, SVN / GIT, etc. - and are not afraid of new technologies, such as; OSGi, Swing, JavaFX, Groovy, Guava, FindBugs, Mockito. Furthermore, you understand and are comfortable with agile development techniques, such as; Scrum, Kanban, BDD, TDD, DDD, etc. Experience as a coach in these techniques is a plus! Moreover, you are, or want to become an expert in emerging API technologies, such as; HTTP, REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, WSDL, etc.

Education:
You don't need any specific training. We are looking for a good attitude and adequate experience. All company communication, both internal and external, is in English.
