Om kunden:

Flic is the world leader of the Smart Button market, a fast-growing segment for both end consumers and large corporations. The product is a simple and stylish wireless button that lets you create a shortcut to your favorite actions so that you do not have to touch your phone. It is widely used in the smart home to control your lights, music and tv at the push of a button. Flic is also used by large enterprises - enabling remote control and easy access to systems and devices. Originally launched as a massive crowdfunding campaign in 2014, Flic is today a young and dynamic team of 11 individuals. With over quarter million units sold and a global presence, they are now facing a rapid growth.

Flic and its sister products stay connected to one of the Flic apps, available for iOS, Android and Mac, in which they integrate with all of the big consumer brands of the world. The Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connection and the integration platform are some of their core technical competencies. Flic just launched the Flic Hub; a Hub that can be connected to hundreds of Flic buttons simultaneously. Consumers and enterprises can now use Flic buttons without a smartphone. Over 5000 units have been preordered, and it is scheduled to be delivered very soon.

Arbetsuppgifter:

As a developer at Flic, you are a part of the development team which is a friendly and dynamic group of four highly skilled software engineers with expertise in low-level firmware, radio signal processing, protocol design, security, Java, C# and Objective C. Together you work with the Flic Hub which shares its Java code base with the Android App. Your main responsibility short-term will be to improve and maintain this Java code base. However, the long term focus will be on developing new enterprise-facing applications and cloud-based integrations to help grow the ecosystem around the Hub. One part of this step might include managing other developers, out-sourced or in-house, to help scale development to meet customer demands. Flic’s development need grows rapidly with a growing customer base, new product development and new needs for integrations.

Profil:

Requirements
• Great knowledge in Java-focused development
• Basic knowledge in software architecture
• Experience of cooperating with clients is preferred
• Experience with managing or setting up outsourcing teams is preferred
• Fluent in English, verbal and written
