.Net Tester with an interest in application management

The Product Development department within Scania IT is responsible for developing and managing IT support systems within Scania’s Research & Development area.

The recruiting group currently consists of around 10 people: a test manager, developers, requirement analyst and software architects. We are responsible for the development & maintenance of applications that support the design & process areas within Scania R&D and aftermarket. The team is involved in the entire system development process, from concept development to implementation and maintenance. We are aiming for self-supporting teams with focus on quality assurance.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic person with a background in software testing and is interested in supporting our team with activities related to application maintenance. You are a positive and driven person who takes responsibility for personal development.

Your role

We can offer you a role as a member of a development team where your responsibilities will be to:
analyse use cases and detailed design documents to derive test objectives
document and execute test cases based on the test objectives
executing test cases/scripts, for integration, regression, and performance testing
to lead the design, build, test, and deploy process for Test Automation
to coordinate & review test objectives with appropriate project members
deliver feedback and improve ways of working with test methodologies
a part of your role will be to assist the team with maintenance activities (logging change requests, managing communication with stakeholders, maintaining & updating application-related documentation, etc.)

Your profile 
We believe that you have a university degree within IT/Computer Science or similar, complemented with 3-5 years’ experience from testing. We also think you have the following:

strong analytical skills & an ability to communicate effectively in a team setup
experience with Agile or iterative/incremental software development methods such as SCRUM,KANBAN.
at least 2 years of experience in Test automation using Selenium or Protractor
experience from working with JIRA
proficient and efficient in test implementation and execution
ability to articulate current status, blocking issues, and task estimates

It is an advantage if you

have a background in programming
have experience with SOAP and REST web services
are good at SQL and confident in creating queries to validate data integrity and other data constraints
have experience working with Team Foundation Server
have a background as a team lead

We expect applicants to be organised, have a strong analytical capability and a service-minded approach with a focus on quality. To be successful in this role you will also need to have good communication skills and feel comfortable working closely with several parties within the business. You are happy working in a team, but are also capable of working independently. As the corporate language is English, the position requires the ability to speak, write and understand English at a high level.
