Rubens Barn® was established in 1998 with the mission and vision to strive to offer a unique and nurturing friend to all children around the world, to help them develop the tools and confidence to shape the future into a kinder one.

Based in Mölnlycke, Rubens Barn operates internationally in over 25 countries in retail, education, and healthcare. We are currently looking for a substitute designer, with the goal of going into full-time employment, to join our multicultural team of 7 members. We are a fast-paced, friendly team with great ambitions and offer you the chance to learn and develop at an accelerated speed.

We are a looking for you who can:

Design
.Create and develop sketches and mood boards based on given concepts/briefs
.Good knowledge of sewing methods and pattern constructions
.Create artworks with material, colour and prints ready for production
.Based on material and sewing knowledge, be able to design with quality, sustainability and price in mind
.Have an understanding of the brand and be able to adjust personal design style to compliment Rubens Barns current assortment

Graphic Design

Develop and design ready-to-print originals for:
.Packaging and labels
.Catalogues
.Posters, signage and other display material
.Produce web-related graphical content, like SoMe-campaigns
.Quickly able to produce layout for sales tools, customer campaigns etc
.Basic photography and photo editing

Production
.Coordinate all factory communication for the development of prototypes

Basic knowledge or ambition to learn:
.Manage and ensure that each prototype and sale sample are delivered on-time
.Ensure company standards for quality, function and reducing environmental impacts are met

Excellent knowledge of:

Adobe Creative Suite:
.Photoshop (For photo editing, retouching etc)
.Illustrator (for artworks, illustrations, prints etc)
.InDesign (For catalogues, folders, signs, SoMe-content etc)

Basic knowledge of:
.Word
.Excel
