The department Environment and Fluid Dynamics Centre is responsible for the Core Value Environment at Volvo Cars R&D and has about 100 employees. This responsibility includes the following 7 attributes; Vehicle Energy Efficiency, Environmental, Weight Management, Thermodynamics, Aerodynamics, and Contamination and Climate comfort.
The group Vehicle Energy Efficiency, Strategy and Requirements delivers electric range, cycle plan input, fleet impact analysis on CO2, and technical input into development of next generation’s CO2 simulation platform. We also increase focus on Traffic simulation because this is a core activity when studying the consequences of autonomous, and human driven, vehicles for personal transportation. Traffic simulation will be one of your main responsibilities as Traffic Simulation Analyst, and you will be one of the team members working within this area. You will have challenges within programming, modelling, big data analyzes and machine learning among other things.

Your mission
* Support the team with analyses, data management and simulations
* Implementation of algorithms for new technology
* Programming and model development
* Monitor system use and improve user interface
Required qualifications
* B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electrical, Computer engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent
* Programming competences and proven working experience
* Basic knowledge of computer modelling
* Knowledge of MATLAB and C/C++
* Latex knowledge is a merit
* Fluent in English (written and spoken), Swedish is beneficial
* Driving license “B”
