Senior Security Researcher to MSAB

Stockholm Headhunting have been commissioned to find a Senior Security Researcher for MSAB which is a leading forensic technology company. Their products is used by Police, Law Enforcement, Military, Government Intelligence Agencies and Forensic Laboratories in over 100 countries worldwide to investigate crime, gather intelligence, investigate fraud and fight corruption. In this role you will have the opportunity to help victims of crimes and bring perpetrators to justice all over the world by exploiting vulnerabilities in mobile devices.

About the role

You will be responsible for identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in embedded devices, primarily mobile devices. Together with the research manager you will identify interesting targets, enumerate attack surfaces, audit both binaries and source code in order to identify vulnerabilities and finally develop high reliability exploits for the identified vulnerabilities. As a Senior Researcher you will also guide and help the less experienced researchers at MSAB, further you are expected to give your expert opinion and feedback on ongoing projects. You will have the opportunity to act on your own initiatives and ideas.

What MSAB is looking for

As a Senior Security Researcher you have ideally had similar roles. You also have a strong interest in this kind of work and preferably have knowledge of several of the upcoming examples: source code and binary code auditing, reverse engineering, reading and assessing code (especially in C), hacking, fuzzing kernel space boundaries and user space parsers. You are familiar with IDA and different assemblers such as AArch32 and AArch64. Experience from iOS and/or Android and embedded software/hardware development is a big plus. You have probably worked within the field for at least 4-5 years and like to take a leading role. As a person you are driven, enjoy solving problems, think critically and creatively to find new paths to reach set goals.
