Experienced Java Developer at Scania

The work environment at Scania’s IT department is international and our employees are representing many different nationalities and countries. To this exciting and dynamic environment we are now looking for a new colleague who writes nothing but clean code and is comfortable using design patterns.

Your responsibility
We want our teams to be autonomous and agile, always working closely with our customers. As a Java developer in our team you will participate in early discussions deciding the architecture and software design, implementation, verification and support product introduction. We think that you have experience in identifying and evaluating solutions and that you are comfortable proposing appropriate software architecture.
 
We expect you to have experience within the following fields:

Java 8
SpringBoot
JPA/Hibernate
SOAP/Rest Web Services
Agile development methods, preferably Scrum

 If you have experience in MAVEN, Jenkins, AngularJS and TDD it is considered a merit.
 
Your profile
We are looking for applicants with an MSc in Information Technology or similar and at least 5 years of relevant work experience.

Final, immutable, NotNull are natural building blocks in your code
You enjoy working in an agile team and you really understand the meaning of the Agile Manifesto

You should have a positive attitude and be able to cooperate with a team, but also work independently when required. Your ability to take responsibility for the application, be structured in your work and focus on quality is very important. You must be proficient in written and spoken English.
 
The location
Scania headquarter is located less than 40 km south of Stockholm city. It is easily accessible by regional train, commuter train, bus or car. Scania's own bus line, Scania Job Express, goes from Stockholm city or Liljeholmen directly to Scania in Södertälje.
