Description:
Do you want to work with system services within an GxP environment at Biogen Denmark, which is located in Hillerød in Nordsjælland (about 30 min´s drive from Copenhagen or 20 min´s drive from Helsingør), where the manufacturing complex consolidates all production related operations and is part of the company´s global manufacturing network.

The Hillerød complex also houses quality control laboratories, warehouses, and a number of organizations, supporting the manufacturing activities: planning and purchasing, engineering, and quality assurance. The complex employs more than 650 people, representing more than 16 nationalities.

Role:
The System Engineer will take part in design and implementation of Biogen´s (24x7) manufacturing control server and systems infrastructure. The candidate will serve as primary support for Biogen´s manufacturing systems environment. He/she has a strong general understanding of infrastructure technologies and a passion for solving complex problems & providing excellent end user support.

Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain documentation for system installation, configuration and administration.
• Implement the virtual server environment and storage platforms
• Perform Maintenance on Windows and Linux Servers
• Working knowledge of database systems
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot problem areas; ensure integrity of servers; provide server performance statistics and reports.
• Document, partner, and share templates, techniques, and artifacts with other development teams around Biogen

Required Skills:
• Demonstrated hands on experience with the following:
o Troubleshooting: Windows and Linux server platforms, Understanding of Oracle and SQL database functionality and connectivity.
o Understands layer 2 and 3 technologies and can do simple troubleshooting techniques.
o Client side Security Technologies such as Antivirus, VPN and Firewall.
• Experience/knowledge with some of the following equipment, technologies and applications: Microsoft Windows server, Active Directory, VMWare/ESX including VMWare high availability solutions and snapshot backup technologies, Citrix, NetApp storage, load/balancing solutions, Cisco UCS, Nutanix, Thin Manager, Vortex or similar hardware and software components in a manufacturing environment
• Basic understanding of DNS, DHCP, CIFS/NFS, SAN/NAS, DBMS, VLANs, and server side configurations.
• Hands on experience designing and implementing virtual server solutions with domain trust.
• Experience working in a GxP environment and supporting manufacturing plant floor (shop floor) operations.
• Beneficial with experience and expertise developing scripts, and or services for the platform environment, such as PowerShell Perl, or similar language a plus
• Basic understanding of backup solutions such as Netbackup, Rubrik, Networker, BackupExec, or similar

Qualifications:
• 5+ years experience working in a heterogenous server environment
• Previous experience in collaborating across technology silos such as Servers, storage, backup, networking, active directory and security.
• MCSA level experience/knowledge and MCSE certified a plus
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
