We are looking for you with a unique blend of real-world experience and theory, someone who can cover the territory between profitability and creativity and who has a passion for cultural changes working with people. You will act as a core member within Scania IT and Volkswagen Group CoE together with representatives from other brands within the VW group. Our expectation is that you would quickly grow into a natural competence provider, managing the Scania IT UX process, responsible for orchestrating and delivering best practices and methods across all projects and organizations within Scania IT.

As part of a small function that is still starting-up and growing, you must demonstrate a collaborative working style, great communication skills, and the ability to thrive in an environment of innovation.

Foster relationships with technical and management stakeholders.
Work across work cultures and comfortable with non-hierarchical organizations.
Dare to influence.
Be a good story teller and communicator both business and design.
Be comfortable with ambiguity and take ownership. You are able to define your own role and responsibilities, without being told what to do.
Bridge the gap between users, IT and business needs.
Ask smart and thoughtful questions in addition to coming up with innovative solutions.
Work with, learn from, and contribute to the global community of UX Designers at Scania.

Minimum requirements and qualifications

Working experience within UX Design, Design Thinking, Service Design, Cognitive/Experimental/Social Psychology, Cognitive Science or Human Factors/HCI.
The ability to work with organizational challenges by getting buy-in, commitment and assuring deliveries.

A master or a bachelor degree in HCI, Cognitive Science is helpful but not a requirement.
Fluency in English and Swedish is essential.
Scania values people who are optimistic, collaborative, who take ownership, embrace ambiguity, can learn from failure, and have the drive to make others successful.
