The group Electric drives software development is responsible for delivering SW functionality for the electric drive system in all electrified vehicle programs within the Volvo Car Group. Our vision is to deliver the best functionality on the market and continuously evolve our development platform. We are working with continuous integration as development praxis and we are striving towards continuous deployment of SW.

Main responsibilities

As a SW or Function Developer in our group you will be part of a highly agile and fast paced development team and deliver state of the art functionality. You will utilize a model based development process and have responsibility of all phases of the development, from design and implementation to vehicle testing and fine tuning of the functionality.

Requirements

•             Engineering Background with Electrical, Electronics, Controls Theory, Signals & Systems and Mechatronics

•             5+ years of experience from embedded software development, Matlab, Simulink or similar model based SW development

•             Good experience with debugging/testing embedded software systems

•             Perform functional testing in various environments

•             Perform calibration activities in test rigs and vehicle

•             Experience in AUTOSAR structured architecture, workflow and tool chains

•             Highly committed to deliver results

•             Very good communication and interpersonal skills

•             Good English skills, verbally and in writing

Meritorious

•             Demonstrate a strong understanding of development processes and agile methodologies

•             Driver license B

•             Programming Skills like C-programming, Python programming, Continuous integration,

•             Working experience with Scrum/Kanban development, Automation, Build environments

•             Working experience with Micro controllers and Processors

•             Working experience with JIRA, Jenkins, GIT/SVN

•             Knowledge about Lauterbach development toolchain, ETAS/INCA development toolchain

•             Electric motor vector control theory (for PMSM)

•             Good Initiator

•             High Integrity

•             Flexible and Team Oriented person that could drive the tasks

•             Good Oral and Presentation skills

•             Structured and Creative that could handle analytical problems
