Frontend Software Developer

Apart from R&D, the Verisure Innovation Centre handles business-critical systems and database management, quality and security assurance, software and product testing, and 24/7 core systems that keep our alarm services up and running.
Job Purpose
Would you like to be part of a team that develops software used by hundreds of thousands Verisure customers? Would you like to work with a strong brand and be a key member of one of the region’s biggest R&D Centers?
We now have an opportunity for one Frontend software developer to join our R&D Department in Malmö.
You’ll work closely with development teams, product owners and other stakeholders. With innovation and quality in mind, you’ll drive the customer experience of Verisure’s alarm and smart home solutions forward. You will be part of our MyPages team and report to our Consumer Applications & API manager.
The Verisure MyPages web portal is used by our customers to administrate and monitor their smart home alarm system. It enables our customers not only to control their alarm system but also to install new components in the system. The team works with front-end development in mainly JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS and uses the latest technologies within web development.
Main Responsibilities
- Analysis of system requirements and implementation requirements
- System architecture and design
- Writing and integrating code as well as performing test/verification of the developed functionality
- Preparation and release/launch of new functionality
- Maintenance and support of developed features
Required Qualifications Minimum qualifications
- Masters in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent
- Skilled in JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- Very well oriented within modern JavaScript and CSS technologies and frameworks
- Experience in working with security, validation of input, sessions, encryption
- Knowledge about REST
- HTTP (cookies, headers, https etc)
- Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience from working with React
- Experience from working with GraphQL
- Java and backend knowledge
- Scrum
