Senior Back-End Engineer

We are now looking for two Senior Back-End Engineers to join us in building our new portfolio of services and products, aiming to transform the manufacturing industry. Together with a dynamic team of entrepreneurs, designers and engineers, you create solutions tailored to meet the needs of small and medium-sized industrial companies.

The position is located in our brand new office at Regeringsgatan, in the heart of Stockholm.

Job Summary
In this role, you play a vital part in developing our tech stack by combining your interest for new technology with a passion for solving hard manufacturing problems. You take lead in technical decisions for our backend strategy, building scalable micro services and ensuring high quality in a fast-paced environment.

Your responsibilities
• Build distributed and scalable micro-services
• Deploy cross-cloud services on AWS, Azure and GCP
• Design and develop APIs, enabling other developers to consume micro-services through a self-service model
• Build storage solutions for high accessibility and scalability
• Improve deployment and operational processes in collaboration with Infrastructure Engineers and Site Reliability Engineers
• Mentor and support junior engineers

You have a BSc or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience gained from a working career. As our team at Sandvik CODE is truly international, you have great communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing. Other required skills and experiences are:

• Data structures and algorithms
• C++, C#, Java or equivalent complied programming language
• AWS, Azure, GCP or other cloud platforms
• Micro-services and API design
• An irrevocable curiosity for new technologies, programming languages and frameworks

Bonus skills
• Linux
• Python or equivalent scripting language
• Container technology, LXC or Docker
• Container orchestrators, Kubernetes or equivalent
• Public Key Infrastructure
