Nasdaq is now looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our European Development Team. The team consisting of a very skilled group of developers working together to form the core functional and non-functional development of our trading and market data systems. These systems power the Nordic equity market and provide market data feeds for all asset classes in Europe.

About the role and responsibilities
* Adopt a holistic view of the entire system layout and configuration
* Review business requirements and software design specifications
* Develop new complex functionality in an environment handling large volumes of data and demands for high availability
* Write and execute unit tests using continuous integration/delivery
Education, Professional accomplishments, and Certifications
* Education Required: University degree in computer science, information technology, software development or similar or equivalent work experience
* At least 7 years of work experience
* Experience with enterprise Java application development, C/C++
* Comfortable in a SCRUM and Agile environment
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, train, inspire and motivate team to accomplish objectives
* Ability to build good relationships with peers, business partners and clients
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
* Experience from working with financial systems especially trading/market data systems would be a merit
