SW Engineer (0-3 years experience)

About the Position
We have a flexible dynamic team of great programmers, who handles everything from hosting, backend and frontend development (both web and native Android). We are SCRUM fanatics (sprint 175 now!) and love creating disruptive software innovations with a team effort!
The cloud software platform is today hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and can handle 200+ million users. We want to also offer it as an on-premises service, meaning that we need to migrate the software platform to a new hosting environment and develop some of AWS’s services for scaling. The team that handles this, needs reinforcement and this is where you start your journey at Appland!

Yes, but what will I do more in detail?
You will at start assist the senior developers in the team with tasks, so they can focus on the more complex tasks like how we scale to 200 million users in a more efficient way. We hope that you learn quickly and are able to take on more and more complex tasks.
Below are some tasks you will be involved in initially:
• Regression testing
• Configure Appland Platform
• Update web pages
• Create simple scripts
• Support our partners when integrating our APIs

If you are a quick learner, we will train you to become a SW engineer expert in a few years!

Well, we will train you when you start, but we need a person who is service-minded, has a high work capacity and a “get-it-done” attitude. In return, you will work with some of the best programmers and you will have the opportunity to learn a lot in a short time! Some skills we think you have:
• Service-minded
• Quick learner
• A genuine interest in software development
• General knowledge of computers and have done some programming in at least one of PHP, Java, C# or Javascript.

We have removed all ads and in-app purchases, and instead the consumer pays a monthly fee. The service is delivered to 60 mobile operators and handset manufacturers worldwide.
