Your work assignment
At Scania Research & Development, within the Connectivity unit we work with the connected vehicle. Our responsibility is to ensure that data from the vehicles can be used by the various connected services, to generate as much customer value as possible.
 
We are looking for a co-worker for our embedded development team that mainly develops applications for Scania’s Road Telematic Communicator (RTC). The RTC is primarily responsible for the communication between the vehicles and Scania’s backend servers.
 
Your Profile
As a person, you are pragmatic and communicative. You are goal-oriented, like challenges, and are technically driven as well as like to be at the forefront.
 
You should have competence in, or strong will to learn:

C++ and Linux
Strong thinking in software modularisation and code quality
Have a good understanding of the basic design patterns for Object-Oriented Programming
Experience from vehicle communication networks (CAN) is meritorious
Cloud-based frontend and backend development (Python, Javascript, C# & .Net) in Amazon Web Services is meritorious

You have an academic education at university level in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent work experience. You communicate fluently in English in both speech and writing.
