SWDL Time Management and Base Tech Support

The group ECU Architecture within the section Diagnostics and ECU Platform currently consists of 19 people and we work with base technologies in HW/SW primarily realised in the ECU's in the cars, such as SW Download (SWDL), Network Management, Car configuration, Data Security and Autosar/SW Platform. Within the SWDL area we are also responsible to develop time requirements regarding downloading SW to the vehicles in our factories and at aftermarket.

As SWDL Time Management and Base Tech Support you will be working with base technologies, which means that you establish and develop relationships with designers within almost all system areas of the vehicle. In this position you will therefore build and maintain a wide personal network both within R&D as well as in the factory and aftermarket organisations. It is within your role to work with managing the time requirements for SW download in our factories as well as in the aftermarket for our new vehicle projects. As this is a fairly new area for our organisation you will be responsible for the processes development and data handling for this area. As a second part you will be working with implementation support and spread knowledge regarding SWDL to support our ECU teams, our ECU suppliers and our verification teams. You will work within a group consisting of several specific skills within the SWDL area.

Main responsibilities

* Managing the time requirements for SW downloads in our factories and in the aftermarket
* Implement support and spread the knowledge regarding SWDL
* Processes development and data handling for SWDL Time Management

Required qualifications

* Master degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
* Good knowledge of distributed electrical systems and electrical architecture in a vehicle
* Experience from SW, HW or system development
* Good general computer knowledge
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Good general knowledge of base technologies within HW/SW Platform or experience in SWDL development is meritorious
* An asset would be knowledge and experience from Volvo Car Group's R&D development

* You have good communication and co-operation skills
* You are used to and like to work both in teams and single-handed
* You are driven, proactive and analytical
* You have good ability to independently plan, implement and follow up your work towards overall objectives
* You are interested of develop new methods and processes
