Job description
Devyser is looking for a software developer to join the R&D team and to build and maintain both internal and external solutions to analyze, organize and interpret data produced by cutting-edge sequence based technologies.

Sequencing instruments produce gigabyte up to terabytes of data for each single experiment that need to be converted into usable formats, analyzed with state of the art algorithms and visualized in an easy to interpret way.

We are looking for a person with a talent for technology, open sense and willingness to take up challenging assignments in a young and engaging environment. The candidate must possess a mixture of development (both front and back end), database administration and cloud experience.

This is an ideal position for a software developer who wants to contribute to life science and biotechnology solutions. No previous knowledge in biotechnology or life science is required. However, curiosity and interest in new technologies and life science are welcome.

The person will have the possibility to use a variety of cloud and open source technology to be implemented both internally and externally in international healthcare systems. The ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools is a key factor.

Your responsibilities will include
? Track experiments and results to allow internal/external backtracking, validation and auditing
? Automation of data transfers and analysis pipelines, both to local server and to remote instances (AWS)
? Maintenance and development of internal information databases
? Visualizations of processes and results

Qualifications required
? Fluent in written and spoken English and also very good knowledge in Swedish
? Degree in computer science/system development or corresponding competence
? Excellent programming skills in foremost Python, alternatively Perl, Java or C/C++
? Experience using version control software, such as GIT
? Experience of using Linux/UNIX systems
? Experience/knowledge of web-frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask) and/or web-applications (e.g., Node.js, java-script)

Meriting
? Experience in Cloud computing resources (e.g., AWS)
? Experience in web application development and database administration
? Experience of bioinformatics, sequencing and working with large volumes of data
? Experience in software validation according to EN 62304 (Medical device software-software life-cycle processes)
