Senior Software Engineer

Nasdaq is now looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Stockholm. As a Senior Software Engineer you will be responsible for developing the core application framework used by all Nasdaq applications within the Nasdaq Financial Framework. This includes services like high throughput, low latency messaging, cloud deployment and operations. As member of the team you will develop, adapt and implement solutions within the application framework as well as guide other groups when they implement solutions.

Ideally you already master Java and C++11/14/17, and know what's behind the abstraction layer curtain. You are comfortable with operating systems and kernel internals. You know what to do with a core file. You curiously disassemble code in order to understand how it works. On the high level, you can suggest, design and talk about systems architecture with a group of people. Even if you don't fit this description perfectly, few do, enough on it on your CV and some software battle scars makes you very interesting to us.

Education and professional accomplishments

* Bachelor's degree/Master's Degree in computer science or similar
* 5 + years of relevant working experience

Skills and requirements

* Experience with C++ and Java
* Experience with Linux
* Scrum master experience is a merit
* Strong problem solving skills

You should have experience and understanding of how to manage a customer in a professional way and in addition have a broad technical background. Furthermore, you need to be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. We also expect that your English would be fluent, both written and verbal.
