Safegate is currently seeking embedded software engineer to our office in Malmö. You will be working with product development in the area of Airfield Lighting System. You will also be active within Safegate’s other product areas. Some of the expertise in this field is located at our office in Östersund and therefore you will spend most of your first year in Östersund.

You should be confident working with development and have one foot in the system and the other in software development. You should have knowledge and experience of system safety and development of safety critical software as well as a good understanding of hardware and electronics.

Job description:
As an embedded software engineer, you will work with the development and maintenance of real-time system products operating in our Airfield lighting system. You will also work with development of tools for commissioning and maintenance of our products at the airport. You will follow the product all the way from requirement specification to operation at a customer. You will have the opportunity to work with solo projects as well as being part of larger projects.

Education/Experience:
We expect you to have at least a Bachelor degree or equivalent, with at least three years of relevant experience. You are an experienced programmer with good knowledge of C/C++ and/or embedded systems and real time systems. You have good knowledge of application architecture.

* Object oriented design and patterns
* Test driven development
* Hardware related programming
* Hardware related test and verification
* Industrial communication protocol and interface
* Integration of software with hardware
* Real-time operating system and real-time applications 

For this role it is a requirement that you speak and write Swedish and English fluently.
