About the job
We are looking for a front-end developer to join our experienced TV Team at SVT Play. In close collaboration with product owner, AD/UX and developers you will work with modern technologies and get to deliver well-tested and reviewed releases as often as possible. The TV team which is a part of SVT Play is currently 5 people who have a lot of experience working with different apps, including iOS, Android, HbbTV. We value high quality and have high demands on ourselves and on our teamwork – combined with the right amount of fun and a good work-life balance.
With your proven expertise in JavaScript you will work with a Lean UX approach and transform interaction & visual design into a fantastic user experience. As a part of a cross functional team, you will get the chance to develop and maintain one of Sweden's most popular Play-apps that provides our users with high quality of video streaming on big screens, through platforms like Apple TV, Android TV and HbbTV. We create practically everything from the user feedback we get, and of top quality and with pride. Therefore, we need someone who is passionate about building new products, who loves beautiful designs, problem solving and clear code.
We are looking for a person that is prolific in:
- Web application development with focus on JavaScript
At least 1 year’s work experience, preferably also in the digital media industry.
It’s a plus if you have experience of:
- GraphQL
- Java
- React
- Node.JS
- UX/UI
- Progressive enhancement
- DevOps/ architecture
- REST/ RESTful API
- Continuous integration
- Swift
