QA Lead & Test Automation Engineer to Specops

Stockholm Headhunting has been commissioned to find a QA Lead and Test Automation Engineer to the security company Specops. Specops is a successful and award-winning software company and due to their success they now need to strengthen their QA team with a skillful automation tester and test developer. 

About the role

As the QA Lead and Test Automation Engineer at Specops your role will be multifaceted. Partly leading Specops QA efforts and partly their test automation efforts, meaning that you will be working with their agile teams as a test automation engineer and also have overall responsibility for Specops QA. That includes working hands-on with test automation, therefore the role require you to be a skilled developer and a experienced QA-tester. 

As a key member of the team you will plan, develop and run tests, be part of all stages of SDLC and care about the quality of Specops products, analyze and suggest the optimal approach to test automation for a set of products, develop and maintain test frameworks and the existing Selenium tests as well as working with testing activities as part of the work in sprints, including manual testing. You will also have great opportunities to operate your own initiatives and ideas along with talented colleagues.

What Specops is looking for

In the role as QA Lead and Test Automation Engineer you probably have a minimum of 5 years combined experience as both a developer using the Microsoft stack and a QA Test Automation Engineer. Their is no requirement that you have had a leadership role before but preferably you have an interest in taking such a role. You probably like being the go-to person for the rest of the team and enjoy a mentoring role. You have experience from development in C#/.NET and a good understanding of Selenium and PowerShell. You have also previously created and implemented automated tests using BDD and Continuous Integration and have a deep understanding of the process. As a person you are driven, self propelled, methodical, has a sense of humor and natural leadership qualities. You are a team player that get motivated when you see others thrive and evolve with the help of your guidance and support.
