UX/UI Designer

Storytel is Northern Europe's largest audiobook service provider for mobile phones. We offer thousands of audiobooks and ebooks to customers in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Holland, Poland, Finland, Russia, Spain, and India, we expect to enter several new markets within the coming year. We see ourselves as the European market leader in audiobooks and our focus is to provide the best audiobook experience possible to our customers and to have fun at work whilst doing it. We’re looking for a user interface designer to join our cross-functional Content Tech Team that develops the in-house tools used by our international team of content managers. You should have a great sense of balance between the visual aesthetics and the functionality of the feature/product. As a part of a bigger team, you will be translating ideas and business goals into executable and feasible designs documents. You’re visionary, bold thinking and most importantly willing to learn. You will be working together with both designers and developers to ensure our team has the tools they need to take Storytel across the world.

What will you do?

- Produce design documents for digital projects including (not limited to): wireframes, flow charts, mock-ups, lo-fi & hi-fi prototypes, icons and style guides.
- Estimate and communicate design scope to product owners and developers.
- Making interactive prototypes, animations, images, presentations – whatever it takes to communicate your work.
- Work closely with the product owners and stakeholders to include design early in the development process

What are your skills and qualifications?

- Clearly articulate design vision to team members and stakeholders
- Previous web design experience.
- Ability to take feedback constructively and iterate on designs and ideas from multiple stakeholders with different views.
- Ability to grasp and simplify complex and sometimes very technical concepts and flows and be able to simplify them for the users.
- Fundamental understanding of web design standards and best practice.
- A strong understanding of interaction design, visual design and user experience.
- Proficient in Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with prototyping tools (InVision, Principle or similar).
- Online portfolio or pdf you can share with us.

It´s beneficial if you have:

- Illustration and animation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in graphic design, visual arts, or similar.
- Any programming skills.
- Appreciation of books or audiobooks.
