Test laboratory technician

Product Validation is a department that is responsible for performing validation tests on products developed by Stoneridge Electronics AB to ensure product functional reliability and readiness for mass production. The products are subject for electrical, climate, mechanical and chemical loads using equipment located laboratory in Estonian and Swedish branch of the company. Despite validation, we are responsible for product certification and market access coordination.

Your role
As Test laboratory technician, you are responsible to support product validation, electrical engineering laboratory and PV engineering team in its daily operations with the focus in the following areas: PV and electrical laboratory equipment preventive maintenance, calibration and repair questions coordination, test HW assembly and validation support in PV projects, 5S coordination.

Responsibillities:
•Making sure all PV test equipment in the laboratory is operational
•Create and maintain PV test laboratory equipment maintenance & calibration plans
•Perform/book PV test laboratory equipment maintenance & calibration services according to the maintenance & calibration plas
•Cook repair service from external service providers when necessary
•Support PV projects in assembly work (test system, el. Boards, mechanical assemblies, e.t.c.)
•Involvement in simple test assignments (force, light, durability, water tests, e.t.c.)
•5S coordination responsibl
•Chemical locker inspection and chemical list maintenance
•Planning and replenishment of the PV test laboratory consumables
•Maintenance of accredited lab list
•PV test laboratory inventory list maintenance
•PV test laboratory layout updates

The Test Laboratory technician works in collaboration with the group of PV & Certification engineers.

Competence profile:
•Bachelor or its equivalent in the technical field (mechanics, electronics, cooling systems)
•Work experience in the field of test equipment maintenance
•Knowledge and experience of maintaining cooling systems is a big plus
•User experience in operating environmental test chambers
•Good MS Office skills -Word, Excel, Project, Visio.
•Fluent in Swedish & English, both in speech and writing.
•Knowledge and experience in programming and communicating with instruments (Labview, HPVEE) is an advantage.
•Good communication and reporting skills
