Backend Developer

Axel Arigato are now looking for a self-motivated developer with creative programming talent. Axel Arigato is operated from the head office in Gothenburg which is an inspiring, fast-paced and energetic workplace that encourages new ideas and creativity.

The role requires someone who is self-motivated and a quick learner. You will work together with other backend- and frontend developers, so the ability to work with others is crucial, but also the capacity to work independently

The e-commerce backend platform is built with Magento version 1 and the frontend is mostly built in React with Redux. All our web-applications are hosted on Google Cloud Engine together with a world wide load balancing and auto-scaling solution.

In this role, you will develop and maintain web-based applications, be responsible for coding and modifying the e-commerce platform, ensure a solid customer experience, and maintain integration between the e-commerce platform and various backend-systems

Day to day work will consist of implementing new features and ideas on the backend as well as maintaining and updating existing features on Axel Arigato’s website. The role also includes the responsibility to provides a technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware.

Must have:
- Good knowledge and experience with PHP.
- Experience in working with Magento.
- Experience in working with Linux/Unix systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Nice to have:
- Ecommerce experience.
- Working with large scale web-applications.
- Working knowledge of CMS framework.
- Experience using relational databases (like MySQL).
- Expertise using GIT or other version control system.
- Experience in working with both Mac and Windows systems.
