Senior Developer

Impactpool is a fast growing startup that operates on a global scale. We work with organizations from all over the world helping them attract top talents to solve global challenges.
We have helped the UN secretariat recruiting top leaders, as the first external actor ever. We work together with the UN to aid in their gender parity strategy and to disrupt there old processes of hiring.
We work closely with organizations such as UNICEF, UNHCR, CERN, SOS Children’s villages and IAEA to name a few.

We are now looking to extend our tech team with someone who are excited about working on a truly global platform where high availability and reliability is important. Someone who values customer satisfaction. Have the understanding of when to overachieve and when good enough is good enough. Can see the simplicity in complex processes and have no problem moving from the big picture to the small detail. Someone who feels at home working agile and test driven.

We think that you have at least 5 years experiences as a developer. Have been working on high traffic web platforms. Knows the chalenges of high availability and reliability. Have end to end experience of the web stack. From configuring servers and build pipelines, modeling databases and building server side apps to clientside javascript and fixing css. Likes to work as part of a team, to motivate and inspire others. Have interest in and some hands on experience of system architecture.

We think that you have most of the experiences listed here
Experiences in Ruby or some other highlevel objectoriented language, we work in Ruby.
Experiences of different databases such as relational, document, inverted index etc.
Experiences in Javascript and the Reactjs framework.
Experiences with Git
Experiences with Continuous integration and deployments
Experiences of tech lead positions/responsabilities
Experiences of big data and OLAP
Experiences in Machine Learning

We have offices in Umeå and Stockholm. Both are in creative and modern co-working spaces. We also have remote staff in other countries and continents. As we have a staff consisting of many different nationalities english is used as the main office language.
